The College of Law holds a training course on publishing in international containers
The Continuing Education Division at the College of the Law / University of Karbala held the virtual training workshop tagged “global containers and the mechanism of dissemination in them” for a period of three days from 5-7/12/2021 and on the Google Meet platform. and M.D. Asmaa Abdul-Kadhim Mahdi. The course aimed to introduce the types of approved international containers, clarivate , Scopus, ISI clarivate & scopus. As well as the types of sober and predatory scientific journals and how to distinguish between them. The course also included an explanation of the impact factor and how to calculate it, as well as the calculation of the H-index. In conclusion, the course reached several results, which is how to find out whether the magazine falls within Scopus’ containers or not. As well as whether it was within the Scopus container and then left the classification, the mechanism of publishing in the international containers, the search conditions for publication in the international containers, and the division of the research according to the criteria approved in the reputable journals, in addition to other related matters. This course came in accordance with the aspirations of the Ministry of Higher Education to advance Iraqi universities and place them in the ranks of international universities.
