The College of Law at the University of Karbala organized a workshop on addiction, its types, and its negative effects on individuals and society. The workshop was presented by Professor Hussein Shaker.
The workshop highlighted various types of addiction, from traditional addiction to cyber addiction, which includes excessive use of video games and social media. The workshop discussed the impact of these phenomena on mental health and social relationships, as well as their negative effects on academic achievement and general behavior.
The workshop also addressed cyberbullying, highlighting its legal and social risks, and the importance of digital awareness among young people to protect themselves from falling victim to such cybercrimes.
The workshop aimed to enable students to understand the effects of these behaviors and enhance their prevention skills in dealing with various social phenomena.
