The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Law at the University of Karbala organized a course on drugs, the causes of their spread, and ways to combat them within the ministerial program to develop scientific research skills for postgraduate students, presented by Dr. Aqeel Karim Al-Hasnawi.
The course included on its first day an introduction to the different types of drugs, their effects on physical and psychological health, and the methods by which they are traded. While the second day focused on exploring the causes of the spread of drugs, the third day discussed the different ways to combat drugs comprehensively, including prevention, awareness, treatment, legal legislation, and media programs that aim to reduce the spread of drugs and their negative consequences.
The course aimed to raise awareness among students about drugs and the causes of their spread, and to enhance efforts made to combat them at the individual, societal, and national levels, by providing the necessary information for participants to understand this problem and develop effective strategies to address it.
