The Human Rights Division at the Presidency of Karbala University, in cooperation with the College of Law, held a meeting for officials of human rights units in colleges of the university.
The meeting aimed to discuss the mechanisms and future plans for the work of the division, which was recently established, to support and promote the culture of human rights within the university campus through specialized workshops, seminars and conferences that are concerned with spreading and promoting the concepts of human rights at the academic and community levels.
The division official, Assistant Lecturer Hawra Razzaq, stressed the importance of concerted efforts between colleges and coordinating work to achieve the desired goals, which contributes to consolidating the principles of human rights as part of the university’s awareness and educational message, and enhancing the role of academic institutions in building a society that is aware of its rights and duties.
