Prof. Dr. Salah Jubeir Al-Busaisi won the third place (bronze prize) in the 2022 Climate Law and Governance Day competition, which was held by the University of Cambridge as part of the Climate Law and Governance Initiative, on the sidelines of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Republic of Egypt. In Arabic, 20 working sessions were held, including 4 plenary sessions and 16 sessions in parallel, with the participation of more than 100 experts from legal, academic and diplomatic institutions from all over the world, during which more than 1,500 observers and participants attended the most important interactive legal event on the sidelines of the COP27 conference.
The closing session witnessed the distribution of awards for the legal writing competition, which began since last July. A section dedicated to research in Arabic was created, while before that the competition languages were limited to English, French and Spanish, and participants from five Arab countries won.
