The College of Law, University of Karbala, held an in-person training course on Socio-Humanities Sciences Research Methodology
For three days in the hall of Dr. Abbas Al-Husseini, Dr. Salim Farhan Jaithum, and Dr. Aqil Karim Zghair The course aimed to clarify the meaning of the scientific methodology and a detailed explanation of all the methods and techniques used by the researcher in conducting his research and the tools used by the researcher to collect and process data, establish the relationship between data and unknown facts, and evaluate the accuracy of the results obtained. The types of research in the humanities and social sciences were also discussed and explained in detail, as well as a statement of rational inference methods represented by induction and deduction, methods of data collection and analysis, as well as a statement of scientific hypotheses and their types. A part of the course was also devoted to a statement of legal research, which means research in this branch of knowledge that deals with the principles of law and legislative institutions, and which aims to regulate human behavior in today’s society. The course recommended the need to follow the scientific methodology because it is the cornerstone in building the structure of the humanities and social sciences, and is deeply rooted in the foundations of knowledge. Therefore, it received a great deal of attention to adapt and consolidate it to serve as a basis for conducting research and studies, and then arriving at applied results that lead to the development of various fields of science. Note that the target group is professors and graduate students.
