The Faculty of Law at the University of Karbala discussed a master’s thesis tagged: Legal Regulation for Investing the Fund for Minors’ Funds / A Comparative Study, in the hall of the late Dr. Abbas Al-Husseini in the college.
The message was presented by the student Zahra Hamza Abd Al-Reda, and the message aims to shed light on an important segment of society, namely the segment of minors, especially since their numbers are increasing due to the circumstances that the country has recently experienced.
The discussion confirmed that the minor is unable to manage his money, as there must be someone on his behalf and working to preserve his money, but keeping the money is not sufficient. Therefore, the research aims at the necessity of emphasizing the preservation of the original capital and arranging benefits for the minor through investing him in various profitable and safe investment projects.
The study concluded that it is necessary to amend some articles of the law for the care of minors in force No. 78 of 1980 and to add proposals working to preserve and develop minors ’funds, including a proposal to add a new paragraph (c) to Article 60 of the Minors’ Welfare Law to be as follows: Defining the investment of the minors’ funds fund: it is the exploitation of minors ’ fund’s Minors in investment fields stipulated in the Minors’ Care Law or in investment fields stipulated by other laws in order to develop them in order to achieve the interest of minors and those of similar status while preserving the original money,
